Description 

Balthali Village trek is one of the best tourist destinations near in Kathmandu valley  for those who are looking for easy home stay, short and family trekking with children. This village is situated just beyond to Panauti about 40 km away from Kathmandu . It offers a good  sun rise, speculating Himalayan range from  Manaslu to Mt. Everest in the north, and best sunset view, innumerable rice field  terraces in the west and the huge bodied green forest of Mahabharata range in the south part. One of the most important things  of this area  is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The Balthali  area is cover of various flora, colorful rhododendron forest, magnolia and Sal trees. Nature lovers and birds watcher can spend days exploring and discovering some exceptional species of wildlife, different species of birds, tradition and culture untouched by modernity. Many of the sacred and ancient temples and monasteries such as Namobuddha , Indreshwor  Mahadev , Bramayani like religious Temple are located in this region and still needs to be discovered and unveil its mysterious past.

Trek Route

Weather

The spring and autumn are considered as best Hiking place on  Balthali Home stay  treks. The temperature is relatively warm in day and Cold in night time and morning time. The vision is clear in the morning but the sky might be hazy. From the late September autumn season starts. The sky will be clear and weather is very good.

Trekking group

For trekking group of 1 to 5 people, we provide – 1 Guide and Porter (2 trekkers: 1 porter).
For trekking group of more than 5 people, we provide – 1 Guide, 1 Assistant Guide and Porter (2 trekkers: 1 porter)

Meals and Accommodation

All Meals and accommodation during trekking will be provided by our company. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (three times meals) will be provided on local lodge/teahouse. For night accommodation best available teahouse will be provided on the place you plan to stay overnight. In Kathmandu, only breakfast will be provided with hotel accommodation. Dinner and Lunch be extra and you have to manage yourself.

Transportation

The means of transportation are private cars/vans and public bus. Pick up and drop from airport to hotel, and hotel to airport will be done by the vehicles of Imperial Nepal Treks. Also, we will be driving from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel by car and Panauti to  kathmandu By private car.
Our trekking will start with a drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel. From Panauti to kathmandu, we walk all the way to our destination.

Health Issues

Regarding health issues, we are well aware that you are likely to get Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Going up high at faster pace is too harmful and can be fatal as well because of less oxygen. Some general symptoms of AMS are

Dizziness or light-headedness

Fatigue

Headache

Loss of appetite

Nausea or vomiting

Rapid pulse (heart rate)

Shortness of breath with exertion
