Tour Description
Mt. Kailash (6,714m/22,028ft) is considered to be the most sacred and holy mountain in the world. This is an adventure travel into the remote Himalayan destination of Tibet. It is one of the famous pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists. Lake Manasarovar is also the abode of purity like Mount Kailash. Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar attract Hindus from all over the world for their religious value. Taking a dip in the Lake Manasarovar and drinking its water is believed to cleanse all sins committed over a lifetime. Hindu pilgrims who trek around the 32 mile circumference of Mount Kailash use the term 'Parikrama' while the Tibetans refer to the clockwise circumambulation as 'Kora'. The circumference starts and finishes at Darchen (4,560m/14,961ft), a small settlement serving as the base camp to the holy mountain. The highest point en-route around Mount Kailash is Drolma La Pass (5,630m/18,472ft). During the trek, there are great views of Tibet’s high mountains including Mt. Shishapangma (8,012m/26,287ft). This tour basically starts and ends in Kathmandu driving through the scenic countryside of Nepal. We cross the Friendship Bridge at Kodari that spans the Bhote Koshi River and marks the Nepal-Tibet border. Border formalities need to be completed while on entry and exit of both Tibet (China) and Nepal.
High Altitude Warning:
The days can be very sunny and bright. It can also snow, rain, hail and become very cold so that cloths are required for all conditions. The trekkers should eat as much as and as often as possible. Alcohol, cigarettes and sleeping pills all thin the blood and must be avoided while at altitude. If there is any symptom of altitude sickness seen, in fact, very little can be done except stop, descend and rest. The Tent at night shouldn't be zipped all the way down. Heat exhaustion can result from lack of air circulation. Our expedition crew will accompany the trek for the entire schedule.
Welcome assistance by Snowy representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Rest at the hotel and briefing about the trip. Overnight accommodation is set with BB Plan.
After breakfast the day will start to our guided trip to cultural world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley; the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, the world biggest Bouddhanath stupa and visit Swoyambhunath Stupa also known as monkey temple. After exploring the surrounding areas visit historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with temple, unique architectures and Kumari (living goddess). Evening pre-trip discussion and introduce with our fellow trekking staff for your adventure trip.
Morning after breakfast leave Kathmandu to Nyalam. We reach Friendship Bridge, Nepal – China Boarder by mini-coach. Walk along for 10 minutes to cross the bridge and there get acquainted with Chinese guide and land cruiser drivers. They will give a brief information regarding the further trip then proceed the journey to Zangmu, where all the immigration and custom formalities are ought to be accomplished. After the accomplishment of all formalities, we proceed to Nyalam. Arrival at Nyalam and overnight stay at guesthouse.
This day is spared for acclimatization which is inevitably obligatory to the clients for further tour. we will be acclimatizing on an elevation of 3,750m to fit the remainder of the trip. It is The day to drive to Darchen which is almost about 30 Kilo meter from Lake Manosarovar situated at the height of 4560m. During the afternoon Asthaparbat darshan (view can be done which is one of the famous Mountains of the area. Overnight stay Guest house.
After driving around 4 Km upto Tarpuche, we have to go forward by walking for an encirclement of Holy Mount Kailash. This is the first day of hiking and an opportunity of to enjoying the Bhhudist stupas and sky burial site of the 84 Mahasiddas. This day we will have an incredible seen of Mt. Kailash.
Our trip will be more adventurous as we go higher and higher around the Holy Mt. Kailash. We Cross through the Dolma La pass and keep our walking continue to Zutulphuk, which will be one of the memorable moment on our journey, Observing the unique landscape we will reach to Zutulphuk monastery in the evening.
This day we have to walk almost three hours which is the last day of Mt. Kailash circumambulation that, after this walk Dharchen can be reached and from there we drive to Mansarovar Lake and drive to Paryang.on thwe way we will have very good scenery of Tibetan landscape and Tibetan towns. After few hours driving Paryang can be reached. Here at Parayang We will stay at Guest house.
We will drive back following the same way heading toward border at Zangmu and we will saty at Saga a small developing Tibetan town Saga. We will stay at Hotel.
We will drive back following the same way heading toward border and on the way we will stay at Nyalam overnight at Guest house.
Nyalam to Kathmandu,We will drive back following the same way back to border it around 2 hours driving then we cross the border and we will have lunch at Border then we will drive forward to Kathmandu following the Araniko highway.
This day we come to hotel and take you to international airport at Kathmandu on your time for departure.
