Nagarkot Sunrise Hiking Days

Nagarkot is located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, is one of the most popular station for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear. It offer great Himalaya views including Everest and also offers an excellent view of the Indrawati river valley to the east.  Early in the morning  you will drive  to Nagarkot- to see the sunrise view over the Himalayas and have a breakfast at the hotel in Nagarkot.  After your breakfast and good photo graph than starting  walking down to changunayaran.  Fron naharkot to changunayaran All the way you will take a local village and  good terrace  and local culture. After you walk 4 hr walking you will been very old and  interesting historical place  CHANGU NARAYAN TEMPLE (World Heritage Monument): Chagunarayan Temple is situated on a ridge overlooking Bhaktapur, about 12 km to the east of Kathmandu. Dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, it is one of the oldest specimens of pagoda architecture in the valley. The temple dating from the Licchavi  king period is embellished with exquisite wood and stone carvings.. Visit the Temple and have lunch then drive to  Bhakthapur this is another very big and old durbar squire  explore this place and back to hotel.

Day Hiking: 

Morning we pick up you from your hotel at 8:00 AM, then drive to Sankhu which is approx. of 1 hours’ drive from Kathmandu Valley. Once get off, we will visit this newari city with Salinadi and Bajra Yogini Temple, the local newari town then continue our walking to the eastern all along the way traversed many patches of jungles, uphill trail through scattered local/mountain villages and farmlands to Nagarkot, this hike would mostly takes minimum of 3 and half to 4 hours. 

Afternoon, Lunch at Nagarkot, then visit to the Nagarkot Tower, from here, one could see the breath-taking views of the major Himalayan peaks of Nepal like Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, sisa pagma, Choyu, Gauri Shankar, etc. On a clear crystal day, one can even see the tip of Mt. Everest (8848 m) range. 

Evening with sunset views with the great Himalayan range, stay overnight in Nagarkot. Wake up early morning for the sunrise, then drive back to Kathmandu.
