Namo Buddha Days

Namo Buddha is an ancient and famous Buddhist monastery in Nepal situation at 1750 meters. The monastery is surrounded by Tamang settlements. A special Buddhist legend of King Mahasattva offering his body to a hungry tigress at the very place also makes Namo Budhha a holy site for Buddhist people.

The main attractions of this hike are the panoramic mountain views and many Buddhist stupas on the hilltop. Namo Budhha is also famous for rice, mustard and millet; so you can also experience the beautiful hillside terraced farms throughout the walk. You’ll also be surprised by the number of temples, variations in landscapes and diversity of people living in harmony.

We finished our day hike at Namobuddha and take an hour and half drive back to Kathmandu on same day to end our day Dhulikhel Namaobuddha  day hiking trip.

It  is  very  beautiful place. There is no need to exaggerate this. The place is very quiet and pure. Its environment is very clean, with no pollution, and the natural air is so fresh, cool and healthy. It is also the right place for meditation and practice. In the morning when you wake up, you can see a beautiful sunrise. In the evening you can see a wonderful sunset. You can enjoy snow-covered Himalayan ranges which look so amazing and pure.From the Buddhist point of view, Namo Buddha is one of the most important religious sites in Nepal. There are three major Buddhist pilgrimage sites: Boudha Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Namo

ITINERARY

Day 01: Early morning breakfast and drive for 1.5 hour to Newari town of Panaauti (1464m). From Panaauti we will have 3 hours walk to Namobuddhda. After visiting Namobuddha we will drive back to Kathmandu having Lunch on the way at Dhulikhel.
